As of May 2022, you still have to print off the versions of the Applications and bring them in. We are working towards a process where you can fill out the application on line and submit them however we are not quite there yet!
Position open for Landfill Worker
Pawnee County Solid Waste is accepting applications for a Landfill Worker. This is a full-time hourly position working half a day Monday, Tuesday thru Friday 8am-5pm, and Saturdays half a day. Positions open for Equipment Operator II / Chemical Applicator
Pawnee County Highway/Weed Department is currently accepting applications for Equipment Operator II/Chemical Applicator. This is a full-time position with benefits. Physical labor and mechanical skills are required for this position. The ability to operate a loader, spray truck, backhoe, dump trucks, semis & mowers is a plus. A valid Kansas Drivers License is required and a Class A CDL with Tanker endorsement is required within 6 months of employment. Pay based on qualifications. One (1) Position open for Jailer
Primary duties include those duties assigned by the Sheriff, Undersheriff, and Jail Administrator and/or Jail Lieutenant. These duties shall include, but are not limited to booking of prisoners, data entry, overseeing the general health and welfare of prisoners, feeding of prisoners, general cleaning and maintenance of the jail facility, record keeping, attending prisoners summoned to court, and any other duties as pertains to the orderly operation of the Pawnee County Jail. Co-lateral duties may be given by the Sheriff, Undersheriff, Jail Administrator and/or Jail Lieutenant. Additionally, this officer will be required to work any holidays and weekends his/her shift may fall upon. Will be required to change the hours of his/her workday to fill-in when needed on other existing shifts or special circumstances as deemed necessary by the Jail Administrator, Sheriff, or their designee.
