NOTICE OF PLACE AND DATES OF REGISTRATION
In compliance with the provisions of K.S.A. 25-2310, notice is hereby given that the books for registration of voters will be open at the following places during regular business hours: Pawnee County Clerk’s office; Department of Motor Vehicles; Public Health offices; or online at https://www.kdor.ks.gov/apps/voterreg/default.aspx.
At 5p.m. on the 17th day of October 2023, the books for registration of voters will close and will remain closed until the 8th day of November 2023.
A citizen of the United States who is 18 years of age or older or will have attained the age of 18 years at the next election, must register before he or she can vote. Registration is open until the close of business on the 21st day before the election.
When a voter has been registered according to law, the voter shall remain registered until the voter changes name by marriage, divorce or other legal proceeding or changes residence. The voter may reregister in person, by mail or other delivery when registration is open, or the voter may reregister on election day.
Application forms shall be provided by the county election officer or the Secretary of State upon request. The application shall be signed by the applicant under penalty of perjury.
EARLY VOTING
Early voting in person will be available at the Pawnee County Clerk & Elections Office, 715 Broadway, 2nd Floor, Larned; beginning Wednesday, October 18, 2023, through Monday 12:00 Noon, November 6, 2023.
ADVANCE VOTING BY MAIL
Any registered voter will be eligible to vote by Advance Ballot, beginning Wednesday, October 18, 2023. Applications for Advance Ballots are available at the Pawnee County Clerk’s Office, 715 Broadway, Larned or by calling (620) 285-3721. A printable application for an Advance Ballot is available on the county website https://www.pawneecountykansas.com/201/Election-Information or Secretary of State website, https://www.kssos.org/forms/Elections/AV1.pdf . The last day a voter may apply for Advance Ballots to be mailed is Tuesday, October 31, 2023.
RETURNING ADVANCE BALLOTS
In Person: Ballots must be returned by 7:00pm on Election Day to any Polling Location within the County or to the County Election Office, 715 Broadway, Larned.
By Mail: Ballot must be postmarked on or before Tuesday, November 7, 2023, and received in County Election Office by Friday, November 10, 2023.
